1939 – F. Becker sen. Took over the “Sixtus-Laboratorium”. Mr. Becker was working in the pharmaceutical industry and was also dealing with herbal medical science and homeopathy at that time.

1940 – “ Sixtuwohl Alpenkräuter-Fußbalsam”(Sixtuwohl alpine herbs-foot balm) was  developed and because of the product’s huge success the plant location expanded to the area of an former lumber mill at the “Urtlbach”-street in Schliersee.

1945-1948 the new beginning: Then one has already realized having good business partners in the dealing branch (pedicurists, massagers, etc.) and in the specialised trade because of the good quality in the former “Reichsmark”-time. This aspect was positively rewarded by the trade and because of the good cooperation the “Sixtuwohl”-programme has been more and more extended.

1952 – F. Becker sen. was born in Munich but his father came from the harbour town of Wilhelmshafen. So he had been investigated the alluvial mud-therapy against rheumatism, articular gout and sciatica as well as metabolic diseases and completed these with a method of fresh keeping and conservation.

Also 1952 – Hermann Buhl equipped with Sixtus-products (Sixtuwohl and Sixtolin-sun cream) was the first to climbed the extreme challenging Nanga Parbat mountain, German’s destiny mountain.

Also 1952 – For the first time after World War II the German Olympic Team rejoined the Olympic Games of Helsinki equipped with Sixtus. And from that point of time the Sixtus Company has steadily supplied the Olympic Team with our sports and massaging products as well as with our foot care products.

1972 – Sixtus was the official supplier for all nations of the Olympic Games in Munich.

1975 – Company’s conversion in the computing applications division by Anton Becker.

1980 – Acquisition of a 20.000 qm large part from the former coal mine area in the neighbour town of Hausham (2 km away) having no expansion possibility in Schliersee. At the area a new production came into existence.

1981 – The era of Fritz Becker senior ends with his death. Joining early the company the founder’s sons took over conjointly the business management. 1983 - Commissioning date of the production in Hausham according to the latest requirements as well as official demands of a pharmaceutical and cosmetic company. In the head office in Schliersee stays the management, stock of finished goods, dispatch and the own print office.

1989 – Chief administrative officer of rural district Miesbach Norbert Kerkel handed over the Environmental Award for the company’s specific merits in protecting environment and nature. 

1997-1998 – The production in Hausham was converted for the latest EU-directives for cosmetic products and GMP-regulations.

1998 - Successful introduction of the “Sixtumed”-care brand for diabetics.

1999 – First participation at the Cosmoprof Asia in Hong Kong.

2000 – Introduction of the “ Fresh-Feet” brand – a special brand for the “trainer-generation”. The 500 German Olympic Team members firstly get these products for use at the Games in Sydney. Josef Becker officially left the executive board at 31^st of December.

2003 – Introduction of new “Sixtutec” product line. Additional to our foot care products we generated this brand for pedicurists’ equipment like cutters, nippers, etc. and technical equipment like foot care chairs and foot care motors.
