In 1952, for the first time since the end of the Second World War, Germany was allowed to participate at the Olympic Games in Helsinki/Finland. The former president of the NOC in Germany, Ritter von Halt, contacted Fritz Becker with regard to supplying the national Olympic team with Sixtolin massage oil, Sixtus alcohol rub, and Sixtuwohl foot balm.

He concluded by saying: "………….but we cannot pay anything. If you are willing to accept this situation Sixtus will take part at the Olympic games in Helsinki in 1952".

This was a great incentive to Sixtus and great success was achieved in cycling and many other sports.

For the Olympics in Rome, the Sixtus Sports Fluid for refreshment and its muscle oil for starting preparation massage have been developed especially for the national cycle team.

They were highly satisfied with these two products and it is hard not to imagine Sixtus being connected with the sport of cycling.

In 1972 the Olympics were held in Munich. All 75 masseurs, as well as the "refilling" material, were provided by Sixtus. In other words, Sixtus has been the official supplier for the national Olympic team since 1952.

This has been the great breakthrough. With its range of sports products across many different disciplines Sixtus has become a very popular and coveted name to be associated with. The outstanding skin compatibility and its stimulating effect have instilled great confidence amongst sport physicians, sport physiotherapists, and active cyclists.

Now, the Sixtus sport range carries the designation "Sixtufit Sport und Massagemittel". (Sixtufit Sports and Massage Product). A new and very popular product has been added: Sixtufit buttock cream. Therefore, the Sixtufit product range for cycling is now complete.

We wish to acknowledge the outstanding co-operation we have received from sports physicians, coaches, and sports physiotherapists, who have also contributed to the success by their suggestions on how best to further develop the products, and thank them for their continued support.

Also, the NOC has attached great importance to Sixtus products being supplied and applied at the most recent Olympics. For this purpose, Sixtus was a member of the German Sports Marketing Association. Sixtus products were being used at all Olympic bases.
